About Ascienzo Family Foundation

The Ascienzo Family Foundation (AFF) partners with and assists non-profits whose missions are to support poverty alleviation, provide educational opportunities to the underserved, or contribute services to quality care of the elderly. Our core team operates out of Red Hook, NY in the vibrant Hudson Valley Area, and has been in operation since late 2014. Unique to our organization's structure are our two arms of grantmaking - one through our Foundation Ambassadors, and the other via our Directors. Our Foundation Ambassadors are all former Red Hook Central School District students who have been invited to partner with AFF as civic advocates and liaisons with non-profit organizations in their current residencies. These AFF Ambassadors have served three grantmaking cycles with the Foundation since 2015, helping us grow our portfolio of grantee organizations through avenues of advocacy, civic engagement, partnership, and overall alignment with our grant priorities. For local grantmaking efforts in our Red Hook "hometown", the Foundation Directors manage all partnership opportunities on a rolling basis. Directors welcome unsolicited proposals from non-profit organizations serving AFF's mission in the Red Hook area, while our Ambassadors link AFF funding with their current places of residence all around the nation. Together, AFF Directors and Ambassadors have woven a transformative web of individuals, local partners, and grantee organizations... We look forward to continue growing the Foundation's indescribable ethos and heart-focused work in the years to come.
