About Asheville Poverty Initiative

Asheville Poverty Initiative and 12 Baskets Cafe aims to end the social injustice of poverty in partnership with those on the margins through opportunities for education, advocacy, and relationship building. Fostering mutual relationships across socioeconomic boundaries deconstructing the divisive and misleading categories of the “haves” and the “have-nots.” Stereotypes dismantled. Fear reduced. Hope empowered.
