About Ashfield District Council

Ashfield is a district council with big plans for the future. First, we have a relentless focus on delivering excellent public services for our local community. Our aim is to meet public expectations. Deliver what we promise. Get things right. Second, we are focused on driving economic growth. Creating opportunities for our people. Spreading prosperity. Supporting local businesses. To that end, we’ve been successful in attracting £100 million pounds in project funding. We are working to transform our borough and make a big difference for the people we serve. Situated at the heart of the East Midlands, Ashfield is approximately 13 miles from Nottingham and close to the M1 at junctions 27 and 28.
