About Asian American Youth Council
The Asian American Youth Council (AAYC) is a globally recognized nonprofit organization committed to empowering Asian American youth through political advocacy, cultural awareness, and community building. As a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organization, AAYC is dedicated to driving social change by fostering leadership, amplifying voices, and advocating for policies that benefit the Asian American community both domestically and internationally. Founded in response to racial discrimination, AAYC began as the Korean American Youth Council and has since evolved into a platform that embraces and represents the full spectrum of the Asian American diaspora. With a presence in over 100 locations worldwide, AAYC unites youth activists to champion civil rights, education, and policy reforms that increase visibility and representation for Asian Americans across the globe. Our mission is to develop the next generation of leaders who will advocate for their communities, strengthen political engagement, and create lasting change. Through grassroots efforts, educational initiatives, and strategic partnerships, AAYC ensures that Asian Americans are heard, valued, and empowered to shape the future of our society. As we continue to expand, AAYC focuses on advancing political rights, fostering unity within the Asian American community, and driving cross-cultural collaboration. Our work seeks to break down barriers, elevate voices, and create a more inclusive world for all.
