About Association For The Promotion of Decent Work For Women and Girls (ASSPRODEC)

The Association for the Promotion of Decent Work for Women and Girls ASSPRODEC is a non-governmental and non-political organization. It commits itself to ensuring that women and young girls get decent employment by creating a platform for the acquisition of employable skills, certification, entrepreneurial abilities and a growth mindset. ASSPRODEC brings together women and girls from every stratum of society, with the goal of creating and promoting jobs that provide decent earnings, ensure safe working conditions, provide social protection, and safeguard the rights of women, girls, domestic workers, and women with disabilities. ASSPRODEC is a body comprising women in the Formal, Informal, Tertiary, TVET, and STEM Education sectors across Africa who share the same desire to improve the lives of the working poor women, improve school enrolment among girls, raise educational achievement levels, and celebrate the achievement of women as a means to inspire more women and girls to aspire to improved living standards, dignifying employment choices, inclusive growth, and social cohesion. Through our two councils- The African Women Education Council and the African Women Business Council, we work together to see that the United Nations Sustainable Goal number 8 becomes and continues to be a reality for women and girls by 2030 and beyond.
