About ASSOCIATION FRANCAISE DES MALADES DU MYELOME MULTIPLE
ALe myélome multiple est un cancer de la moelle osseuse qui touche plus de 5000 nouvelles personnes chaque année. Malgré des progrès considérables de la médecine on ne guérit pas du myélome. Il tend à devenir une maladie chronique, avec une succession de phases de rémissions (de durée variable) et de rechutes. L’Af3m, est une association de malades et d’aidants créée en 2007 qui compte aujourd’hui 2800 adhérents. L’Af3m s’est donné pour missions de soutenir les malades et leurs proches, de défendre leurs droits, d’apporter une information fiable et enfin d’encourager la recherche. L’association développe des projets, permettant aux malades, d’être acteurs dans leur parcours de soins et d’améliorer leur qualité de vie. Elle propose ainsi, une formation en ligne sur la maladie, ouverte à tous, une journée nationale d’information, des groupes de paroles, un dispositif d’accompagnement en lien avec l’hôpital, un centre documentaire, des permanences de bénévoles dans les hôpitaux.
