About Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT)

The Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT) is an organisation that represents all Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery trainees throughout the UK and throughout their training careers. We are independent and are run by trainees, for trainees. All ENT trainees in the UK are automatically eligible to be members and there is no fee to be a member of the AOT. As well as a large cohort of registrars, we also encourage core trainees, foundation year doctors, and more recently, medical students interested in ENT to get involved. The AOT was formed many years ago by a group of senior registrars in ENT. As a collection of individuals we have grown quickly in number in recent years partly due to workforce changes and partly to changes in the structure of training.
