About Associazione Culturale Faro

Bloc stems from the initiative of a group of young creative professionals, originating both from Cilento and other Italian regions. Together we want to imagine a new urban human-centered approach, capable of overcoming all traditional categories of countryside and city, urban and internal areas, closer or distant, that imagines hinedit contaminations. Bloc is the block, the neighborhood, the complex of any urban community, and, as such, we aim at putting together energies and experiences to generate change. We work in order to shed light on Parco Nazionale del Cilento through the construction of a new narrative. To do so, we have developed a cultural program that sprouts from the specificities of the territory in order to create opportunities for its inhabitants and alternatives of interpretation for the visitors. Putting together creative energies, we intend to act with and within the territory in order to improve the social and environmental impact of artistic practices through the direct engagement of local communities. The attention, in this sense, will be both to mitigate the environmental impact of our activities and to increase the awareness of the potential of a healthy relationship between human beings/environment.
