About Ateneo de Manila Orientation Seminar

The Ateneo Freshman Orientation Seminar (OrSem) initiates the freshies and transferees, integrates them into the school's community, and develops a deeper relationship between them and the university in their new journey. Each year, OrSem welcomes over 2,800 freshies and transferees with the help of 700 volunteers through traditions such as a day show, campus tours, group dynamics and ice breakers, and the culminating O-Night. This year's OrSem used the theme 'Sigla!' OrSem 2025 Sigla Is an invitation to the freshies to welcome and embrace the college journey and all it has to offer with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement. At the same time, it also invites and reminds freshies to search within themselves what gives them meaning and purpose - those which ignite their hearts and spirits and keep it burning. Orsem Sigla dignifies to the freshies that they can find those here in the Ateneo.
