About Athabasca County

Athabasca County is an area of more than 6,000 square kilometres and a population nearing 8,000 residents. The municipality experiences modest but manageable growth and works to grow the region by working with neighbouring municipalities and summer villages within its boundary. With several major transportation routes and the Athabasca River winding throughout the municipality, Athabasca County has the best of both worlds: prime corridors for business growth and space to enjoy an affordable rural lifestyle.
