Get-Go products address the number 1 issue with raising calves which is mortality, national and global statistics put this number at around 8%. While this is totally unacceptable an industry with out an answer continues to provide solutions and treat the symptoms, not the cause. Digestion of proteins and fats is key to the well being of the consuming calf, however the frequency with which calves get diarrhea and bacterial scours would indicate that there is something wrong. The number one approach is to feed medicated feed, that is milk replacer laced with two or three powerful antibiotics that address the consequences which manifest themselves in the gut and lead to bacterial scours. Get-Go addresses the issue by addressing digestion. Three products: Get-Go FM for the first two feeds. Then one of 4 products based on what is being feed, natural milk, pasteurized milk, distressed milk or milk replacer NM - PM - DM - MR. Then as a boost we have Get-Go Revive for any calf that faces stress they can't cope with, this first line of defense before antibiotics are considered. We now have Get-Go calves being raised with medicated feed. Medicated feed remains the number one category of product in infant calf nutrition for one reason only, there has been no other option. No farmer wants to use medicated feed, and while it may keep animals alive the best calves would not be on medicated feed.
