Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation Queensland (ASMOFQ) is a not-for-profit membership organisation that exists to improve the working lives of Medical Officers in Queensland. The role of ASMOFQ is to protect and improve the working conditions (wages, safety, leave and other entitlements) of its members. ASMOFQ also helps to ensure that its members are treated fairly at work. ASMOFQ can only keep maintaining and improving workplace rights, pay and conditions when people in the workplace choose to be members - without members, there is no union. As an organisation run by and for doctors, ASMOFQ's focus is the specific industrial, career and training needs of all salaried doctors. ASMOFQ is part of a much larger unified federation of doctors' industrial organisations, providing the Queensland medical fraternity with a strong voice in the national medico-political setting. Salaried medical officers can be assured of strength in industrial and professional unity across Australia.
