About Awtij

AWTIJ is a majority Indigenous-owned and controlled company helping ocean technology companies, governments, defence partners, and coastal communities turn marine systems into real operational capability. We design, test, integrate, and sustain advanced monitoring, sensing, and clean marine systems that deliver trusted data, strengthen operational readiness, and support long-term stewardship in complex marine environments. Unlike technology providers focused on short-term deployment, AWTIJ remains engaged beyond installation. We embed training, validation, governance alignment, and lifecycle planning so systems are not only deployed, but operated, maintained, and trusted over time by the people closest to the water. Through this approach, AWTIJ reduces risk, improves adoption, and transforms innovation into durable marine capability, strengthening environmental protection, operational confidence, and maritime sovereignty across civil, industry, and defence contexts. AWTIJ Energy Inc. is a registered Indigenous business listed on the Government of Canada’s Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) and is eligible to supply goods, services, and technology under the federal Mandatory Minimum 5% Indigenous Procurement Target. Organizations seeking to meet their Indigenous procurement commitments are encouraged to connect with us.
