About AYM (The Association of YOT Managers)

The AYM is dedicated to addressing all matters affecting the professional role of youth justice service (YJS) managers. We focus on enhancing efficiency, maintaining high professional standards, and ensuring the welfare of our members. Through our Executive Committee, we work to elevate the status of YJS' and influence government policy impacting young people and the YJS. Membership The AYM is funded by member subscriptions. Full membership is available to individuals holding titles such as 'Youth Offending Team Manager,' 'Head of Youth Offending Service,' or equivalent roles. Achievements and Initiatives Since our inception, the AYM has made significant strides in the field of youth justice: - We are the voice of managers and leaders of youth justice in England - We have established a robust presence in each of the nine English regions - We offer well-respected management and leadership training for current youth justice leaders and aspiring future leaders - We run annual award programs to recognize innovative practices in youth justice The AYM continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of youth justice in England, ensuring that young people remain at the heart of our system.
