About Babai

Babai — Design-led Wooden Toys & Play Objects Babai is a Ukrainian-founded design brand creating wooden toys and play objects that inspire open-ended play, imagination, and emotional connection. We believe toys can be more than entertainment — they can become meaningful design objects that live in modern interiors, museum shops, and curated retail spaces around the world. Our collections combine contemporary aesthetics with traditional woodcraft, supporting children’s creativity while also resonating with design-conscious parents, architects, and curators. Babai was founded by two creative directors and mothers who asked a question that wouldn’t let them go: why can’t a child’s toy be as considered as the home it lives in? From that question grew a multidisciplinary team of designers, woodcraft specialists, and child development experts — united by a belief in thoughtful childhood environments and the power of storytelling through play. All products are crafted from natural wood and produced in Ukraine, with logistics hubs in the European Union and the United States to support international wholesale partners. Today Babai collaborates with museum shops, design stores, and premium children’s retailers globally, building long-term partnerships focused on curated retail experiences and sustainable growth. We also work with companies seeking premium, story-driven gifts that reflect values of craftsmanship and conscious design. We create not just toys — we create objects that help children build stories, confidence, and a sense of beauty from their earliest years. Babai — beyond the toys.
