About Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub
The Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub (BGPSH) at the University of Edinburgh is an integrated translational research initiative focused on preparing for future pandemics and improving outcomes in respiratory disease. We connect genetic discovery with clinical insight to understand the mechanisms that drive disease and translate these into new therapies. By bringing together expertise across genomics, data science, immunology, tissue biology and experimental systems, we work directly in human data and tissues to move beyond association and towards causation. Our aim is to link discovery to patient impact - building scalable approaches that enable faster, more effective responses to current and future health challenges. Supported by Baillie Gifford, PSH unites global collaborators to deliver real-world impact through inclusive and agile teamwork.
