About Balance of Power

Balance of Power (BOP) is a Pacific Islander-led initiative supporting inclusive leadership and advancing gender equality across the Pacific. Since 2019, BOP has worked in Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, and at the regional level to shift attitudes and build coalitions of influence in support of women’s leadership. Through partnerships with governments, media, churches, and traditional structures, BOP strengthens local actors to increase women’s voice and agency in decision-making, particularly in politics. Funded by the Australian Government and managed by DT Global Asia Pacific, BOP is guided by national priorities and regional commitments.
