About Barton Springs Nursery

Barton Springs Nursery isn’t just a garden center—it’s a living, breathing celebration of plants, people, and place. Tucked beneath a canopy of mature oaks in the heart of Austin, we’re a design-forward nursery, a community hub, and a sanctuary for all who find joy in the natural world. Since our beginnings, we’ve believed that gardening isn’t just about plants—it’s about connection. To the land, to creativity, and to each other. Our nursery specializes in native and well-adapted plants, many grown right on site and others hand-selected to thrive in Central Texas. Every tree, shrub, and bloom you’ll find here supports a larger ecological vision—one that honors water-wise practices, pollinators, and the wild character of this place we call home. Whether you're reimagining a backyard retreat, restoring a prairie, or starting your very first potted herb garden, we’re here to guide you with grounded expertise and imaginative design. But what truly sets Barton Springs Nursery apart is our soul. Beyond our plant offerings, you’ll find a curated gift shop, immersive outdoor vignettes, and an ever-growing lineup of workshops, family-friendly events, and educational programming. We’re proud to be a home for designers, nature-lovers, young explorers, and old souls alike. From sunrise strolls through the nursery paths to our one-of-a-kind children’s summer camp, BSN is a place where people come to grow—plants, yes, but also ideas, relationships, and a deeper sense of place. We believe beauty should be accessible, sustainability should be second nature, and hospitality should be felt from the moment you walk through our garden doors. Welcome to Barton Springs Nursery. Today Plants the Future.
