About Base Soaps

At Base Soaps we dream of a world where no child is left behind, and we believe such a world is possible. By creating high quality, ethical soap products—something we all need to use daily—we believe we can empower consumers to solve problems and create a better world through their purchasing behaviour. Our consumer dollar matters. Through a high-quality product, we also believe we can support consumers to feel good inside and out through using our soaps and knowing their impact. You can create your calm and luxurious space while helping to lift others—together let’s ensure that no one is left behind. Base Soaps was founded in 2017 by Lianne and Mick after finding purpose when discovering the devastating, generational impacts middle-ear infection has had on regional indigenous communities. With Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children suffering with middle-ear infection rates among the highest in the world and at five times the rate of non-Indigenous children. With Mick’s background in chemistry, they decided to embark on the Base Soaps journey. Since its inception Base Soaps has sold over half a million bars of soap, harnessing the power of purchasing for good. Together, we can make a difference. Base Soaps mission is to: • Empower regional and remote communities by providing funds that support positive health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. • Empower consumers to solve problems and create a better world through their purchasing behaviour. • Create quality soap that enriches people’s lives by caring for skin, the environment and the health of our regional and remote communities.
