The Bay Area Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists (Bay Area ABPsi) is a professional and community-centered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing the mental, spiritual, and cultural well-being of people of African descent throughout the Bay Area. Rooted in the mission of our national organization, ABPsi, we are committed to the liberation of the African Mind, empowerment of the African Character, and enlivenment and illumination of the African Spirit. We bring together psychologists, mental health practitioners, students, and community members to promote culturally resonant approaches to healing, education, and professional growth. Our initiatives include membership outreach, mentorship, and student development, along with scholarship opportunities and community partnerships that expand access to culturally affirming mental health resources. By uniting scholarship, service, and collective action, Bay Area ABPsi fosters a welcoming space where Black excellence, healing, and leadership thrive.
