About Berks Sinfonietta, Inc.

Founded in 2014, Berks County is a professional chamber orchestra serving Greater Reading and Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Now in our 11th season, we perform 6-7 concerts each year. We include music by lesser-known composers, and particularly by non-white and female composers, on a regular and equal basis. We are a mentoring orchestra, where talented students have paid opportunities to perform alongside area professionals and teachers, helping secure a bright future for classical music in our community. Our core programs include our Core Concert Series, a Digital Concert Series, our Annual Music on the Mountain collaboration with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association, and an annual Scholarship Competition. These programs serve roughly 75 adult musicians, 75 student musicians, and over 1,000 audience members annually.
