About BICAchair

Created in the mid-1950s, the Portuguese chair is a symbol of national culture. Known in all the esplanades of the country, it now appears reborn and ready for new spaces with the BICAchair presenting collections with various styles and personalities. The aim is to give the typical street chair the comfort and convenience of the private sphere, with a love for tradition, but without forgetting the design as the main creative engine and differentiator. The philosophy of the BICAchair brand is based on four fundamental pillars: design as a storyteller, environmental and social responsibility as a global duty, the client as the first concern and the guarantee as an indisputable added value. BICAchair does not want to abandon the roots of the original chair, but to give it new characteristics to give it a place in interior spaces. A perfect chair is one that allows us to be present in long conversations and that makes us feel comfortable, for hours on end. Although it goes unnoticed, it is in these moments that design is fundamental to help share stories and experiences. Life is made of moments. And being able to share them is one of our greatest pleasures. BICAchair intends to be more than a furniture brand and its purpose is to raise the Portuguese chair to an international level, making it available, collectible and accessible to anyone.
