About Big Sister Africa

Big Sister Africa is a media platform building the information infrastructure for youth across the Global South. Launched in Francophone Africa and expanding across the Global South, the platform produces context-driven content, expert-led programming, and structured learning resources on the competencies that shape long-term opportunity: digital literacy, financial literacy, soft skills, and personal health. The platform operates at the intersection of media access and capability development - addressing a persistent gap in the global information ecosystem, where less than 3% of mainstream media coverage originates from or speaks directly to the Global South. Big Sister Africa is not content creation. It is infrastructure for representation, relevance, and readiness.
