About Binghamton Investment Fund

The Binghamton Investment Fund is a student-managed and long-only equity portfolio. BIF was founded in 2003 for the purpose of teaching students how to invest and has evolved into a pipeline for front-office finance recruiting at Binghamton University. BIF analyst manage traditional equity positions across eleven S&P 500 sectors: Communication Services, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Energy, Financials, Healthcare, Industrials, Materials, Real Estate, Technology, and Utilities. The Fund also manages an Alternatives Sleeve, where students oversee holdings in fixed income, real estate, private equity, commodities, cryptocurrency, and short strategies.
