About Biodiversity Units UK

We are Biodiversity Units UK, a specialist BNG advisory and unit provider with an expert team. We launched in 2022, one year before Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) became mandatory for all new development in England. Since then we have invested over 4000 hours into BNG research, and the upshot is…it’s complicated. Let’s be frank, this change can be a bit of a headache for property developers. It has many nuances, and therefore potential pitfalls. That is why our mission is to give you ‘BNG Certainty’. We get the best prices because: - We have the largest network of BNG suppliers - We don’t favour one Habitat Bank supplier over another, so you get impartial advice on what’s best for your needs (the right BNG strategy can save you money) - We offer Matched Pricing with the majority of Habitat Banks We get guaranteed results because: - We have practical experience of advising on a purchase and successfully getting through planning - We have clear processes - which you can see on our web site - that ensure you get the outcome you want - We sort out all the paperwork and compliance issues Our Brentwood Special Needs School project for Galliford Try was “one of the first, if not the first, development in England to achieve an approved Biodiversity Gain Plan” Whatever your question, whatever your project, we are happy to answer your questions. We have proven processes and a deep expertise, including insight on UK-wide market prices. This know-how means you can focus on the development and not the BNG, avoiding costly delays. Our BNG Matched Pricing means you are getting both great advice and the right price. Every 90 days we do a review of the pricing of BNG across England. Sign up on our web site.
