We are a non-profit whose purpose is to promote the development of the best physical health & spiritual wellbeing of the people of NZ. Our objectives are to guide & safeguard the biodynamic approach to agriculture, horticulture, forestry & animal husbandry. Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological & ethical approach to farming, gardening, food & nutrition. It is based on the teachings of scientist and philosopher, Rudolf Steiner, initiated in 1924. Biodynamic farmers & gardeners observe rhythms of the earth, sun, moon, stars & planets, seeking to understand how these influence growth of plants & animals.
