About BIRA

BIRA (Biodiversity Investment, Researcher & Accelerator) is a flagship initiative advancing nature-led climate positive growth across Africa. We conduct research to unlock high-integrity, inclusive nature markets and accelerate direct investments into nature-positive enterprises. Through Africa’s first Biodiversity Accelerator, BIRA strengthens investment readiness, builds communities of practice, and supports projects with scalable, nature-positive business models. Join us in transforming Africa’s natural capital into a powerhouse for inclusive, climate-positive growth.
