About BitaGreen

For urban risk managers, developers, and insurers wanting to invest in resilience where it matters most, BitaGreen offers a SaaS and data platform to design and prioritize blue-green infrastructure and nature-based solutions that benefit both people and nature. Cities often run ad-hoc climate projects, but lack tools to locate, plan, and invest at scale. Real estate managers and insurers struggle to account for the broader climate risks around their assets. BitaGreen changes this. Our mapping, modelling, and monitoring tools reveal the multiple impacts of blue-green infrastructure, helping users prioritize projects with the highest value. By showing how costs and benefits are shared, we enable bankable, blended investments with measurable ESG returns. With our BGI Builder and BGI Monitor, cities and asset managers can: - Map solutions at any scale and quantify impacts on flood, drought and heat risks, air quality, biodiversity and well-being. - Translate costs and benefits into bankable projects for blended investment. - Monitor performance of blue-green infrastructure over time. As a spin-off of Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a WEF Uplink Top Innovator, we bring state-of-the-art science in environmental modelling, remote sensing, citizen science, insurance, and impact investment—delivered in a tool that helps our users act where they can make the biggest difference.
