About Blue Jays For Baltimore

Blue Jays for Baltimore (BJB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, dedicated to expanding economic opportunity and strengthening communities by equipping youth and underrepresented populations with the tools to succeed. Founded in 2023 by Johns Hopkins University student-athletes, BJB focuses on career readiness, leadership development, and mentorship programming that empowers middle and high school students to envision and build brighter futures. With a youth-centered, equity-driven model, BJB meets students where they are and supports their growth through consistent programming, one-on-one mentorship, and community events. Through strategic partnerships and hands-on engagement, students gain the confidence, exposure, and networks needed to take actionable steps toward long-term success. Each year, BJB engages youth across Baltimore through initiatives like school-based leadership development, career exposure events, and service-based volunteer programs. Whether it's guiding a student toward their first internship, supporting families through resource access, or building opportunities for alumni to give back, BJB is committed to driving generational change, one future leader at a time. committed to driving generational change, one future leader at a time.
