At 14, he planted his first trees and learned the trade at a local nursery. While Maarten’s father was a clover farmer, Maarten chose his own path. In 2004, seven years later, he founded Boomkwekerij Maarten van Overbeek together with his wife, Laura. Under their joint leadership and shared passion for trees and entrepreneurship, the company has grown to 65 hectares and a team of 12 permanent employees.
