About Bournemouth International Film Festival

Bournemouth International Film Festival (BIFF) is a new addition to the UK’s creative landscape, built to champion first-time filmmakers, emerging talent, and bold independent voices in film and screenwriting. Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, the festival delivers more than just screenings. It offers a focused platform for filmmakers and audiences to connect through curated short and feature films, a screenwriting competition, industry talks, and a live awards ceremony. As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), BIFF is committed to supporting long-term growth within the creative and cultural sectors. Our profits are reinvested into bursaries, training opportunities, and community partnerships that help develop future filmmakers and grow regional impact. The festival offers: • Submissions across short film, feature film, and short script categories • Industry panels, workshops, and Q&As for learning and networking • A prestigious awards event recognising excellence and originality • Partnerships with universities and local creatives to strengthen the talent pipeline BIFF’s wider goal is to help position Bournemouth as a recognised destination for film, education, and production. We are working with local authorities and institutions to create lasting opportunities for filmmakers and sponsors alike. Submissions are now open via FilmFreeway: https://filmfreeway.com/BournemouthIFF For partnership or sponsorship enquiries, visit: www.bournemouthfilmfest.co.uk Bournemouth International Film Festival.
