Born from the evolution of the Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival, BRAVO emerges from the understanding that the industry has changed. Independent creators now set the pace of transformation, and Brazil has found its place to shine. Our mission is clear: to illuminate and celebrate the richness of Brazilian independent cinema, opening real doors for international visibility. We value plurality, representation, aesthetic courage, and the strength of narratives that come from every corner of Brazil — from the forest to the asphalt, from the backlands to the city centers, from small screens to the world’s biggest stages. Organized by the Brazilian Audiovisual Organization, BRAVO is the largest showcase of Brazilian cinema outside Brazil, with an exclusive focus on national production. Unlike other international festivals that embrace multiple nationalities, BRAVO is fully dedicated to amplifying Brazilian voices on the global stage. BRAVO is built on three complementary pillars: 🎬 Film Festival – curated showcase of bold, auteur-driven Brazilian films. 🎓 Film Lab – training and mentorship program connecting underrepresented talents with the global industry. 🌍 Film Market – a business hub fostering co-productions and internationalization, backed by funds such as FSA (Audiovisual Sector Fund).
