About Break The Bet Foundation

Break the Bet is a student-led initiative focused on financial literacy and gambling awareness among high school students. Our mission is to help students better understand risk, decision-making, and long-term financial behavior in an increasingly complex financial landscape. What started as a small initiative has grown into a rapidly expanding network of student leaders launching chapters, leading discussions, and driving impact across schools in the United States and internationally. We operate through a decentralized, student-led model — empowering leaders at the state, county, and school level to build and scale initiatives within their communities. Our focus is not just awareness, but action — helping students develop the knowledge and mindset needed to make informed financial decisions early. We are continuously expanding and are always looking for motivated students to start chapters, take on leadership roles, and help grow this movement.
