Our expertise spans complex occupancies, catastrophe exposures, distressed businesses, machinery breakdown, and electronic equipment protection. The MGA is led by Juan Calvache who has more than 25 years of experience in the underwriting Property Facultative Reinsurance industry. Juan has a Masters degree in Insurance and Risk Management from North Texas University and his entire career has been focused on the Latam & Caribbean Regions. Prior to setting up Brickell Underwriting Agency, Juan had extensive experience leading facultative underwriting teams for top-rated Reinsurers and establishing new Latam operations for a Lloyd’s Syndicate.
