About Bronx Film Initiative

The Bronx Film Initiative (BFI) is a nonprofit organization that introduces young people to the world of filmmaking through hands-on experience with industry professionals. Our signature program, Let’s Make a Movie, takes students from script to screen, teaching the full creative and production process while building confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Through real-world projects, mentorship, and professional-grade tools, BFI helps students discover their voice and explore viable career paths in film and television. From red carpet premieres to student-led productions, our programs are designed to inspire the next generation of storytellers and content creators. We believe in the power of storytelling; and we’re building the future of film, one student at a time.
