About Brown University Math Olympiad (BrUMO)

BrUMO is a math competition that aims to create an inclusive environment for young students to learn and challenge themselves in math and critical thinking. Backed by the renowned Applied Mathematics department at Brown, our competition is designed to ignite passion for mathematical exploration while honing crucial analytical abilities, welcoming participants from all backgrounds to engage with advanced mathematical concepts in a supportive and engaging environment. Founded in 2024 by a group of Brown University students, BrUMO is just starting our mission to spreading our enthusiasm for math and serving communities of students all across the world.
