Bunye Betfu Buhle Butfu Savings and Credit Co-operative was formed in 1990 and registered by the Commissioner of Co-operative under the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operative, in accordance with the co-operative Act of 1964 and its registration number is No. The SACCO has been licensed by the Financial Service Regulatory Authority and license number is SACCO/037/2014. The SACCO was formed with the sole purpose of uplifting the standard of living for its members. The SACCO draws its membership from employees within the public sector in the country. Currently the SACCO has 6600 members. The SACCO has steadily grown and has been able to purchase its own Bunye Betfu Buhle Betfu complex in the capital city in Mbabane along the main Gwamile street. The supreme authority of the SACCO rests with the general assembly the AGM who delegate their responsibility to the 10 Board members who are elected by the general assembly every after two years. The General Assembly further elects a Supervisory Committee who consists of 3 members so supervise the entire operation of the SACCO on behalf of the members. Board members including the Supervisory Committee can serve for two terms after going through an election process. The Board members are responsible for the employment of the Manager and the Financial Manager. The board in turn delegate their responsibilities to the Manager and they then provide an oversight role. The Manager employs the operational staff to ensure that the SACCO operates smoothly as they service the members.
