About Bureau Buitendienst

At Bureau Buitendienst, we are passionate about shaping cities and creating sustainable urban environments. As an urban planning agency, we offer a range of services that help municipalities, developers, and policymakers understand and navigate the ever-changing urban landscape. We engage residents and SMEs in the development of their urban environment. Using research, experiments, temporary interventions, and hands-on projects we create insights into the current uses and future needs of places. Bureau Buitendienst is an agency for urban innovation and citizen engagement, based in Groningen. The agency is led by founder Jorrit Albers and collaborates with a wide range of partners in specific projects.
