Cai Mep LNG Terminal (LNG) is the LNG Receiving Terminal and Re-gasification Project to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the facility while addressing the growing demand for energy and gas supply in Vietnam. The Terminal will be located on the vacant land of the Cai Mep Oil Product Tank Farm, owned by the site owner. It will handle LNG unloading, storage, pumping, vaporization, and metering for distribution to consumers through low-pressure and high-pressure pipelines, supplying natural gas to the Cai Mep Industrial Zone and nearby power and fertilizer plants. As part of its operational scope, the Terminal will also serve as a key hub for energy distribution, facilitating the delivery of LNG via ISO tanks and LNG tank trucks, as well as compressed natural gas (CNG) via CNG trailers at the site. Designed with an initial capacity up to 3.0 million metric tons of LNG per year for all send-out type (6,000-hour operation per year of the existing power plants).
