About Cali UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts

Cali belongs to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network of media arts since 2019. From that moment on, our commitment has been to actively cooperate between cities for the exchange of knowledge and best practices with creatives and artists in this field. The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) was created in 2004 to promote cooperation with and among cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. Almost 300 cities around the world which currently make up this network work together towards a common objective: placing creativity and cultural industries at the heart of their development plans at the local level and cooperating actively at the international level.
