About Cambridge Centre for Applied Research in Human Trafficking (CCARHT)

Leading not for profit Think Tank on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, based in Cambridge UK. This years's Annual symposium 'Land, Widows, and Wombs' will explore how assets: such as land, finance, bodies, reproductive capacity, hierarchical status, forests, education, all have a gendered aspects to their 'ownership', use and deployment. The way this is eroded for women is the opportunity for trafficking vulnerability to step in. We shall be welcoming scholars, advocates, activists, and policy makers across the world to gather in Cambridge 11th - 12th September 2024 to discuss and consider the implications of the 'enabling environments' which both support trafficking abuse, and those which need to be built or sustained which resist such vulnerabilities- with our focus this year on the outcomes for women and the girl child. Full publications, studentships, sponsorship available on web site www. CCARHT.org and ticketing for this on line and in person hybrid symposium to which all are welcome.
