About Canadian Network of Scientific Platforms

CNSP-RCPS is an inclusive, pan-Canadian network uniting professionals in scientific platforms—such as technology resources, core facilities, and specialized research services—across technical, managerial, and administrative roles. Representing 31 institutions and +320 scientific platforms across 9 provinces, CNSP embodies Canada’s commitment to scientific advancement, with a collective infrastructure valued at over $1 billion (funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), provincial funding agencies and corporate partners) supporting more than 30,000 researchers in 10,000+ labs nationwide. CNSP drives excellence in scientific platforms by maximizing the return on investment in advanced infrastructure and establishing best practices for leadership and operations. Our members actively participate in regional, national, and international events, collaborating across disciplines to tackle shared challenges and stay at the forefront of technology and research advancements.
