About Canvey Island Youth Project (Yellow Door)

Yellow Door (Canvey Island Youth Project) works with disadvantaged young people between 11 and 25. We aim to help them by offering a range of services and activities focusing on young people’s health and well-being. The services include one-to-one advice, information, and support. Counselling and Mentoring. Small well-being groups for social skills and anxiety. Activities include a performing arts group, a youth club, a youth group for quieter young people and a sports club. We also work with young people through detached and outreach work and offer educational workshops on substance misuse issues. Our aim is to enable the young people who use our service to develop the knowledge, life skills and confidence needed to make informed choices and to manage their sometimes very challenging life circumstances. In so doing, helping them achieve their full potential in education, employment, family life and society.
