About Cape May Community Food Closet

We believe in the power of a caring community that ensures all our neighbors have the nutritious food they need in Cape May, Cape May Point, West Cape May, and Lower Township. The Food Closet is a 100% volunteer organization that is a certified pantry within the framework of the Community Food Bank of NJ, and with that, we are governed by federal and state requirements for all our clients. If clients qualify according to the regulations, they receive food. And that is our mission – to provide food to our neighbors who need it. The Cape May Community Food Closet has been serving the people of the Cape May area since 1982. Since 2018, it has been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is qualified to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions from individuals and businesses.
