Cape Town Mead Company was formed in 2017 by some passionate biologists and an experienced viticulturist with a vision to innovate the ancient fermented honey beverage, Mead. The flagship product is the Melaurea Mead Brut, a delicious dry (<3g sugar per bottle) crisp sparkling mead produced through second fermentation in the bottle - MMT "Mead Methode Traditionnelle".
