About Capital District Arts Initiative

Capital District Arts Initiative is a home for artists at every stage of their journey, from toddlers taking their very first creative steps to pre-professionals preparing for careers in dance and theatre. Our faculty is committed to fostering a positive, supportive environment where passion and discipline go hand in hand. At CDAI, we believe in creating an atmosphere where students not only feel encouraged, but also challenged to dig deep, work hard, and give their whole heart and soul to their training. We specialize in nurturing joy and confidence in our youngest performers with sweet, fun beginner classes, while also offering rigorous, career-oriented programs for advanced dancers and actors who are ready to push their craft to the next level. Through classes, productions, competitions, and performance opportunities, CDAI builds grit, artistry, and community, helping every student discover their fullest potential both on stage and off.
