About CapitalBop

CapitalBop, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to presenting, preserving and promoting jazz in D.C. This site is designed to help everyone from newcomers to jazzheads find live music that will fit their preferences on any given night. CapitalBop offers these features that you won’t find anywhere else: • a comprehensive, up-to-date and interactive calendar of all the jazz going on in Washington, featuring preview write-ups and staff picks • a thorough, interactive guide to all D.C. clubs complete with maps, profiles, contact information and essentials about pricing and food • a catalog of local jazz musicians, with their contact info • a steady stream of coverage — written articles, video and more — on D.C. jazz music
