About Cara Mia | Communications with Heart

Human beings are really good at using language to confuse and “complexify.” I’m all about designing language in service to equity and understanding. To that end, Cara Mia brings 15 years of experience bridging strategy, narrative, and public engagement across public health, civic participation, and the arts/humanities. Known for building clear messaging systems, leading cross-sector partnerships, and creating human-centered campaigns that move audiences, I write and edit across formats (including briefs, reports, case studies, newsletters, grant applications, website content, emails, organic and earned social, press releases, strategic plans, proposals, pitches, and board-level and other stakeholder communications).
