About Cardinal Hickey Academy

Cardinal Hickey Academy (CHA) is a regional Catholic school nestled on the campus of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, in northern Calvert County, MD. In providing a rigorous curriculum, CHA nurtures the whole child in an environment where each child can achieve academic and personal excellence. Pastors, administration, faculty, and parents create a solid partnership conducive to developing the students as learners, leaders, and people of faith and service. Our certified staff members take advantage of professional development opportunities and 100% of full-time teachers are Catechists. They strive daily to help students grow spiritually, academically, and emotionally by embracing the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. CHA’s comprehensive curriculum focuses on the Academic Standards of the Archdiocese of Washington.
