About Carquinez Village

Carquinez Village is a volunteer-powered nonprofit helping older adults in Benicia and Vallejo live independently, safely, and supported in their own homes. We believe that when a community supports and cares for its aging population, everyone grows stronger. Our members enjoy access to social connection, personal support services, educational programs, and lifelong learning opportunities designed to reduce isolation and promote healthy, independent aging. Volunteers provide rides, home assistance, tech support, companionship, and much more, proving every day that we can operationalize love and caring through community action. Voted Benicia’s #1 Senior Care Service for 2025, Carquinez Village is part of the national Village Movement, a growing network of grassroots organizations transforming the experience of aging. Together, we’re building a future where aging is celebrated, not feared, and no one faces it alone.
